Owner and Master Electrician Jim Kerley brings over 30 years of hands-on experience to every project, offering expert electrical services to the Parry Sound and Muskoka regions — and doing it with a level of care that sets ECCM apart.
Jim’s journey as an electrician started in the busy construction hubs of southern Ontario — working on everything from townhomes and high-rise condos to custom luxury homes. Over the years, his skills expanded into commercial and institutional projects too, including schools, police and fire stations, hospitals, and retail spaces.
Seeking to broaden his expertise even further, Jim spent several years in Manitoba, specializing in agricultural automation systems before returning home to Ontario to deepen his experience in industrial sectors such as food processing, packaging, and automotive manufacturing. Throughout these different seasons, Jim held roles ranging from Electrical Foreman and Project Manager to Inspector and eventually, Business Owner — gathering a deep understanding of every corner of the electrical industry.
Today, at the helm of ECCM Electrical Contracting, Jim uses this diverse background to offer top-quality, honest services across three main areas:
- Residential: New construction wiring, renovations, generator installations, EV chargers, hot tub and pool wiring, and service upgrades.
- Commercial: Office fit-outs, retail lighting, service upgrades, LED retrofits, and general troubleshooting.
- Industrial: Equipment wiring, electrical service upgrades, automation system installs, and maintenance.

When he’s not on the job site, Jim remains actively involved in the local community, serving as a Director on the Board of the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce. His heart for Muskoka and Parry Sound shows in every project ECCM takes on — blending big-city expertise with small-town service values.
